WHAT DOES THE BIBLE
"To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.." -- Isaiah 8:20, New King James Version Song of Solomon 8:6 - Set me as a seal on your heart, As a seal on your arm; For love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, A very flame of Yahweh. The King James Version reads: "jealousy is cruel as the grave." This scripture is the only reference to the name, Yahweh, in the book of The Song of Solomon. The Hebrew word translated "cruel" can also be rendered as "obstinate". As sheol is relentless in taking its victims, so the church who loves Jesus is jealous of anything that would draw him away from the one she loves. There is nothing in this that would hint that sheol has anyone actually living there, either in suffering of flames, or in bliss of paradise.
